"Cedarburg Sundown"- Oil - 9 by 12

This is a fun little painting I did on a bridge over Cedar Creek. I was a bit nervous
about painting something where the lighting changes real quickly as the sun sets.
I just had to remember to quickly get in my darkest dark and lightest light, and to simplify.

A painting of my wife Karen in Cedarburg. We had trouble at first finding that right spot for
her to pose. I scraped away 2 paintings before we arrived at this bench where that backlighting and
the obvious blue shadows was enough to light my fire.

2 1/2 hours to paint a picture. My friend Steve was nice enough to pose for me.
He's very good at posing- 2 hours without moving! Thanks Steve.
